It was spacious enough for what we needed for the night. The hard, uncomfortable mattress was not a deal breaker; it was just a very loud building and you can hear everything through those walls. Felt like people were getting visitors at all hours of the night.

The place is located at the edge of downtown and balboa park. I was able to walk to the convention center in about 20 minutes, gas lamp 15 minutes, balboa like 15-20, depending on where you are going. There are some fast food places close by and a few other restaurants in various directions. I also used circuit for a ride, it is a free service within downtown. The place is old. It is similar to a drive up motel. But the beds are comfortable. Bathroom old but well maintained. Had a Roku TV. It is at the end of a road so depending on where you stay you hear cars driving by. It didn't bother us. Free parking which was great.
